Living with Passion

A few weeks ago the cycling community lost a wonderful member. Matt "Bronco" Bradley passed away unexpectedly. Matt was a member of the US Para-Cycling national team and competed at the 2011 UCI Road World Championships in Denmark. Matt was an activist, an educator, cyclist and friend to many. Anyone that knew Matt could immediately see his passion for life.

In tribute to Matt and his love of life, we dedicated our most recent team training camp to his memory. Each day, we shared quotes that embodied passion for life- they are listed below. We each have a passion for something- cycling, gardening, knitting, battleships- and sometimes it's helpful to get a nudge to pursue that passion. Matt will be missed by everyone that knew him but we can rest assured knowing he's smiling down on all of us, and definitely enjoying the ride.

Let me tell you, at the risk of seeming ridiculous, that the true revolutionary is guided by great feelings of love - Che Guevara (This was one of Matt's favorite quotes.)

When I hear a man preach, I like to see him act as if he were fighting bees. - Abraham Lincoln

Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive. -Howard Thurman.

A great leader's courage to fulfill his vision comes from passion not position. - John Maxwell
